OK, this is what I got from my Kevins visit to the VA hospital. For one thing he was in there for 3 hours and you can imagine my fears as the minutes went on and on and on. Doc said the almost plugged artery is starting to dissolve and the all plugged artery which was completely blocked is now letting blood through and has gotten smaller. He didi have a small stroke but has 95 percent recovery on that. Doc put him on 4 new perscriptions all of which the VA hospital will send to him in the mail. I just do not understand why they can't just give him tha drugs on the spot but no they have to send them via the postal service. After I calmed down about the med situation I found out why they send the meds instead of handing them over. This is the way to make sure the vet that takes the meds, get the meds. they verify the address by sending the meds. Anyway so much for that part. His diet has been cut down even further to on,y 10% fat for the whole day and Doc wants to see him in 2 weeks for a bood check and he wants Kev to lose at least 5 lbs in the weeks. Kevin is also to start increasing his 1 mile walk everyday to work up to 2 miles in the 2 weeks. I am so beyond relieved, I have cryed the entire morning and I just feel exhausted. He is so lucky to have escaped a fatal heart attack and or a fatal stroke. He is beyond thankful to God for sparing his life. Thanks to all of you out there in aidpage land for keeping my guy in your prayers, Sincerely sheshe03 0
